Floating Windfarms Corporation develops and operates offshore windfarms, using low-cost floating and non-floating vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) to generate 'green' electricity at low costs!

We aim to develop in three years a demonstration offshore windfarm, using low-cost shallow-water VAWTs, to demonstrate that the cost of electricity from offshore wind can be lower than the cost of coal electricity.

And, we aim to demonstrate in five years that the cost of electicity from offshore wind can be much lower than the cost of coal electricity through the quantity production and installation of low-cost floating-VAWTs and non-floating-VAWTs.

As such, combined with the development of cost-effective energy storage facilities(such as pumped-hydros), offshore wind can begin to replace the fossil fuels as the principle source of energy for electricity generation; and the low-cost 'green' electricity from offshore wind can begin to replace gasoline as the principle source of energy for the plug-in hybrid vehicles and all electric vehicles. 

These cost effective floating and non-floating offshore windfarms, when fully implemented, will enable us to take a giant step beyond fossil fuels, and greatly reduce the global energy, air pollution, and climate change problems.  And, make the world a cleaner, safer and better place to live!
